US: $1,500 'Disaster resilience' scholarships now available

"These scholarships are expanding the education of future professionals who impact how we build and create communities that are disaster resilient," told FLASH President and CEO Leslie Chapman-Henderson to Reuters.

The nonprofit Federal Alliance for Safe Homes (FLASH) offers annual scholarships for master's and doctoral students pursuing degrees concentrating on disaster safety and mitigation, including construction, engineering, financial services, meteorology, risk communication, social sciences, and more.
