United Kingdom development assistance committee (DAC) peer review: main findings and recommendations

This review monitors the United Kingdom's efforts and performance in the area of development co-operation. It examines the UK's: (i) overall framework for development co-operation; (ii) aid volume, channels and allocation; (iii) organisation and management; (iv) practices for better impact, including capacity development on mainstreaming climate change and incorporating climate change and disaster risk reduction into environmental screening; (v) humanitarian action, including the explicit recognition of the special needs of vulnerable groups in both humanitarian and disaster risk reduction policies. The review also provides a set of recommendations for each of the programmes.
