United Kingdom: Adapting to climate change in the Peak district national park
This report represents the first assessment of the climate change risks, and opportunities to the Peak District National Park in the United Kingdom. It begins the process of identifying current and potential adaptive actions that will enable the National Park to better cope with the projected changes in the climate over the coming decades.
The report identifies specific risks, opportunities and actions for the following areas (pp. 7-20):
- landscapes and their elements (flora, fauna, water);
- ecosystem and tourist services;
- built environment;
- economy;
- business continuity.
