France: Stratégie nationale de gestion des risques d'inondation 2014
The national flood risk management strategy pursues three priority objectives, the achievement of which must be analyzed in the long term by the various stakeholders for 20 or 30 years through progressive implementation by conducting a quantified evaluation of current and future performance.
- Increase the safety of exposed populations.
- Stabilize in the short term and reduce in the medium term the cost of damage linked to flooding
- Significantly shorten the time it takes for disaster-stricken areas to return to normal.
