Moroccan and Ghanaian MSME resilience in the face of COVID-19
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and Allianz RE joined forces to support vulnerable communities in Morocco and Ghana in developing integrated risk management approaches for climate risks. Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit during the project period, the partnership also aimed to better understand MSME resilience in light of COVID-19 in Morocco and Ghana. In Morocco, the implemented risk management activities of this Public-Private Partnership were targeted at Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) located in Industrial Zones. In Ghana, the project focused on climate risk financing for municipal public assets. This flyer summarises two reports on MSME resilience commissioned by GIZ (see links). It outlines the two project components, such as objective and methodology and summarises the results and key findings of both.
