The unfolding heat crisis in Thailand and Southeast Asia: Challenges and emerging solutions

The report highlights the increasing risk and impact of heat stress and disseminates information on key regulatory and technical solutions and their practical application by institutions, cities, and governments to reduce its adverse effects

Some of the mentioned recommendations to address this challenge:

• Pilot Heat and Air Action Plans for Cities: A key activity suggested by this report is the development of pilot city or provincial heat and air action plans. 
• National Heat Fund:  It will also be important to consider setting up a national-level blended finance incentive fund or facility to create a real momentum for cities and provinces to develop projects with the best possible impacts on heat adaptation and mitigation, as well as provide funding for the heat and air action plans.
