Improving heat stress prevention through targeted education in hot and humid workplaces: a study in a foundry industry
This study demonstrated the critical role of targeted educational interventions in enhancing workers' PAKF to mitigate heat stress risks in thermally challenging industries. By developing and validating a multidimensional questionnaire, the authors provided a robust tool for assessing heat stress-related competencies, which revealed significant improvements in the intervention group's PAKF scores compared to the control group.
The authors recommend mandating regular heat stress training sessions across industries, enforcing real-time temperature/humidity monitoring in workplaces, and legislating standardized rest protocols during high-heat periods.
