Climate change in sub-Saharan Africa
This brochure addresses the need to factor climate change into all aspects of development in order to increase resilience, rather than as a separate environmental challenge, for example by building infrastructure that is better able to withstand flooding, or by improving irrigation to make agriculture less vulnerable to drought. It describes DFID's work with developing countries which aims to: (i) building climate knowledge and capacity; (ii) supporting Africa to adapt to climate change; and (iii) increasing investment in low carbon development.
