Best practice: the community efforts of Bangladesh

This document acknowledges the strengths and efforts of the communities through best practices aimed at ensuring efficient and effective operations in the field of disaster risk management and at helping creating a guideline for future interventions. The approach focused on different disaster prone areas in Bangladesh. The main highlight of CMDRR work in the region aims at reducing disaster risk through community innovation and with taking into consideration climate change adaptation. The paper is intended to create learning opportunities and to help replication of these best practices taken from the communities which have taken the step towards being community managed.
