Asian Urban Disaster Mitigation Program (AUDMP) completion report

These documents report on the major findings and achievements of a ten-year program designed to respond to the need for safer cities. The ultimate goal of the program was to reduce the disaster vulnerability of urban populations, infrastructure, critical facilities, and shelter in targeted cities throughout Asia.

The documents highlight that, with AUDMP initiatives, advances were evident in urban risk reduction interventions, policies, approaches and strategies in the fields of risk assessment, mitigation planning and implementation, community based disaster risk management, hazard forecasting, emergency management etc.
