Accelerating the implementation of the Hyogo Framework for Action (HFA) in Asia and the Pacific

This new issue focuses on the implementation of the 'Hyogo Framework for Action 2005-2015' (HFA) in Asia and the Pacific through its five specific Priorities for Action. The issue has two main sections: (i) the HFA and the Asian Ministerial Conferences on Disaster Risk Reduction and (ii) taking stock HFA implementation in Asia. Several experienced and committed practitioners shared their valuable insights.
With a total nine articles from the Asian Disaster Reduction Center (ADRC), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), Practical Action, the European Commission, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) as well as the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC), the publication was prepared on the occasion of the 4th Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (AMCDRR).
