The vision of Withstanding Crisis - Managing Risk is to help build organizations and systems capable of anticipating, reducing, and avoiding amidst existing and emerging risks, including those related to climate change and other man-made, technological, biological, and environmental threats - ensuring their long-term success and sustainability.
Its mission is to provide high-level guidance and advisory services in the field of risk reduction and crisis management, based on historical and forward-looking analysis, to help clients anticipate and navigate the complex landscape of risks that societies face today.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
