Mission
SABAL Nepal is a non-profit national NGO working in the field of development and disaster with special focus on water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, community development and peace building.
SABAL Nepal has a diverse and wide working experience in the field of development and disaster. The organization was acknowledged by District WASH Cluster Sunsari to be one of the best NGO's to work in disaster response, particularly in the area of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion. SABAL has responded/served around 28,000 people affected from the Koshi Flood in 2008. Since then it is one of the active cluster members working closely with the WASH cluster to improve its capacity to prepare and respond to disasters.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
