The Myanmar Consortium for Community Resilience has launched a new project aimed at reducing the human, social, economic, and environmental losses of disasters. The project aims to strengthen capacities and systems at both institutional and community levels while increasing awareness, knowledge, skills, and capacities of those most vulnerable to disaster risks.
This resource aims to provide relevant and practical guidance to DRR practitioners (policy and programme colleagues), on how to ensure inclusion - particularly of vulnerable groups - in Community-Based DRR (CBDRR) initiatives in Myanmar.
This publication documents examples of good practice in relation to inclusive community-based disaster risk reduction (DRR) in the Ayeyarwady region of Myanmar.

Voluntary Commitments

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
