Inclusive community-based disaster risk reduction: guidance on good practice in the Ayeyarwady Delta, Myanmar

This publication documents examples of good practice in relation to inclusive community-based disaster risk reduction (DRR) in the Ayeyarwady region of Myanmar. Examples are focused on four areas: i) Enhancing knowledge, awareness and understanding; ii) Promoting and facilitating inclusion in decision-making and other processes; iii) Fostering collaboration and cooperation amongst and between stakeholders; iv) Ensuring sustainability of project outcomes. It is hoped that this publication will provide ideas and inspiration for other organisations working on community-based DRR both in Myanmar and within the wider South East Asia region.
