Following the frequent and intense heatwaves experienced in the UK this summer, researchers at Loughborough University are warning that many UK homes are no longer fit for rising temperatures - and overheating is putting health and wellbeing at risk.
Flooding is one of the UK’s most persistent and socially disruptive climate risks. While infrastructure protects against physical damage, national strategies often overlook the social, educational, and wellbeing dimensions of resilience.
Flood resilience must extend beyond infrastructure by embracing participatory, community-led approaches – rooted in inclusivity, intergenerational engagement and social return on investment.
This is a call for chapter contributions to book entitled "New Insights in Flood Risk Management: Learning from Global Case Studies of Stakeholder Partnerships".
This Special Issue invites papers reporting the findings of research into the management of innovation to improve the resilience to flooding.
The future of global food production is under threat as temperature rises will impact farmers’ physical capacity to work, a new study has revealed.
