Journal of Paramedicine and Emergency Response

Mission

The Journal of Paramedicine and Emergency Response (JPER) is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed, open access journal published online timely. The JPER is aimed to develop a professional body of knowledge for paramedics and first responders internationally. JPER is a multi-language journal that will provide opportunities for all professionals to submit their manuscript in English, Chinese, Japanese, and Arabic. Additional special issues will be published as required. JPER is affiliated with the Taiwan Society of Paramedicine (TSP)  and the members of the TSP would receive English translation services for title, keywords, and abstract of each submitted manuscript. JPER was launched on Apr 1, 2020.

Aims and Scope

The Journal of Paramedicine and Emergency Response (JPER) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to advancing knowledge and professional practice across the full spectrum of all-hazards emergency response. JPER invites experts and scholars whose work strengthens the science, systems, and human factors that shape effective response to emergencies, disasters, and crises.

JPER publishes original research, reviews, case studies, and communications that address the theory and practice of paramedicine and multidisciplinary emergency response in all environments — urban, rural, industrial, and military. The journal focuses on how responders act, adapt, and coordinate under pressure, emphasizing operational effectiveness, safety, and resilience.
