Global Legislators Organisation for a Balanced Environment

Founded in 1989, GLOBE International brings together prominent serving politicians and lawmakers, across party lines, to exert their authority and powers of law-making, legislative and budgetary oversight to advance practical action on sustainable development. GLOBE legislators are united by their belief that, working together, they can also make more of a difference to unblocking political logjams at the multilateral level.

As a non-party political organisation, GLOBE International supports legislators through national chapters to develop, advance and oversee the implementation of policies and laws in pursuit of sustainable development with an emphasis on climate change, environmental economic accounting and governance, and forests.

The organization has no registered commitments.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.'|t }}
