Mission
The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Srinagar is the local body responsible for coordinating disaster preparedness and response in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, focusing on plans like the Srinagar Flood Action Plan 2024-2025 to manage high-risk flood zones (e.g., Rajbagh, Jawahar Nagar) by establishing Zonal Management Committees for evacuation and relief, working under the state's Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction (DMRRR) and the national National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) framework.

Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
