Mission

La mission première du Cirad est de contribuer au développement rural des régions chaudes, par des recherches et des réalisations expérimentales, principalement dans les secteurs agricoles, forestiers et agroalimentaires. Son texte statutaire le charge également d'assurer la formation par la recherche et la diffusion de l'information scientifique et technique au profit du développement et de mettre son intelligence collective au service des politiques publiques en matière de recherche pour le développement.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
