Mission
The rbcıamb (Brazilian Journal of Environmental Sciences) publishes original research addressing various dimensions of Environmental Sciences, including environmental management, public policies, technological innovation, and land-use dynamics. The journal prioritizes high-quality studies that enhance the understanding of interactions between society and nature and contribute to the analysis and development of solutions to contemporary environmental challenges.
rbcıamb is a publication of the Brazilian Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (ABES). It publishes original, complete, peer-reviewed articles. rbcıamb does not publish simple diagnoses that are merely applications of known techniques and constitute technical work without contributing to scientific advancement. Review articles must have a clear purpose and provide an evident intellectual contribution to the advancement of knowledge. Articles that merely reproduce data from databases without contributing to scientific debate will not be accepted. Strictly disciplinary works, predominantly limited to a single field of knowledge without interdisciplinary integration and convergence with Environmental Sciences, will also not be accepted. In line with best editorial practices and international trends, from 2024 onwards rbcıamb adopted a continuous publication model with a single annual volume, replacing the previous quarterly system.
The rbcıamb's mission is to contribute to the development, quality, and dissemination of Environmental Sciences. To publish high-quality research that promotes and supports sustainability in its various dimensions. To serve as a reference in scientific publishing within the field of Environmental Sciences.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
