Alliance for Transformative Action on Climate and Health
Mission
The Alliance for Transformative Action on Climate and Health (ATACH; “the Alliance”) works to realize the ambition set at COP26 to build climate resilient and sustainable health systems, using the collective power of WHO Member States (“Member States”) and other stakeholders to drive this agenda forward at pace and scale; and promote the integration of climate change and health nexus into respective national, regional, and global plans.
ATACH currently brings together over 100 countries/areas and over 90 partners in a dynamic global community collaborating to advance the implementation of climate change and health commitments and priorities.
Following its first two years of operations, the Alliance has recently launched its new Strategy for 2024-2028 and transitioned to a new governance and operational structure to better address country implementation needs in climate change and health.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
