Call for abstracts: European Climate Change Adaptation conference 2019

Source(s): European Commission

We invite submissions of abstracts for both full sessions and presentations for the 2019 European Climate Change Adaptation conference. All session and abstract submissions should link to one of the conference themes. The deadline for abstract submissions is 10 October 2018.

Two presentation formats will be available:

Oral and poster – guidelines

Two types of sessions will be organised:

Science and Science-practice – guidelines

  • Science sessions (presenting advances in scientific methods, tools and findings relevant to climate adaptation and/or disaster risk reduction);
  • Science-practice sessions (to enhance engagement and learning between science and practice including relevant connections with policy and society).

We welcome abstracts from researchers, practitioners, policy-makers, decision-makers, managers and technicians from academia, public and private sectors.

Full sessions and abstracts can only be submitted online and in English. An abstract may only be submitted once. Abstracts submitted as an oral presentation may be changed to a poster presentation by the Conference Organisation in order to be accepted and included in the programme.

There is a limit of two presentations (oral and/or poster) for a single registered presenting author. However, this does not exclude the opportunity to be a co-author in an unlimited number of abstracts.

Accepted abstracts will be removed from the programme if no presenting author is registered and paid by 15 January 2019.
