US, California: Stronger earthquakes predicted for Bay Area — and they could come soon

The Green Valley Fault in the North Bay's Solano County "is likely to have a larger earthquake than people previously thought," said James J. Lienkaemper of the U.S. Geological Survey in Menlo Park, California in an interview with National Geographic.

Lienkaemper and his colleagues have just published the results of their analysis of the northern part of California's San Andreas Fault system in the Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America
