Uganda: IPU to mainstream disaster risk reduction

The call, made by various delegates attending the 126th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) being held in Kampala, was issued during an informal panel discussion on disaster risk reduction and sustainable development, reports UGPulse. Talking to other delegates, S. Chowdhury, representing Bangladesh, suggested that "disaster risk reduction should be included in all government policies and given budget allocation."
