USA: Reform of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) - introducing long-term flood insurance
Dr Erwann Michel-Kerjan debates the reform of the federally-run Programme and suggests that the development of longer-term contracts of 5, 10 or even 20 years, tied to the property and not to the individual, would bring stability to individuals and the NFIP alike.
