US: Helping prepare the West for harder, drier times

According to High Country News, the United States should get prepared before the next natural hazard arrives. Through the Securing America’s Future and Environment (SAFE) Act, the country can prevent and combat forest fires for instance. Furthermore, actions need to be taken as the U.S. Geological Survey predicts that "by the year 2030, the glaciers of Montana’s Glacier National Park will be no more than a memory."
