UNDP sponsors disaster risk reduction and gender workshop in Belize

The Women’s Department in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), through the framework of the Project: “Strengthening of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Response Capacity in Belize” being executed by the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO), hosted a two-day workshop on gender mainstreaming for disaster preparedness, for operational focal points, as a means of strengthening Belize’s capacity for comprehensive disaster management, reports Caribbean News Now.
