The Ministry of Research and Technology (RISTEK), Republic of Indonesia, announces the organization of a Tsunami Drill in Banten, Indonesia, on December 26, 2007.

The objectives of the event are two-fold:

1. To remember with condolence the loss of more than 200 thousands lives in the Aceh tsunami 3 years ago
2. To test the functionality of end-to-end Indonesian Tsunami Early Warning Systems (Ina-TEWS)
