Sri Lanka: Forging ahead with development, sparing the economy

"To facilitate and strengthen this development process, and preserve the environmental and cultural heritage of the north, a Strategic Environmental Assessment integrating disaster risk reduction aspects is a vital component", said Professor Buddhi Marambe, at the launch of the Integrated Strategic Environmental Assessment (ISEA North) project in Colombo earlier this week.
