Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Unit in partnership with the World Bank, Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) and the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction conducted a stakeholders training workshop in Windhoek this week, alongside the Fifteenth Southern Africa Region Climate Outlook Forum.
"We are here to help strengthen the existing cooperation between climate scientists and disaster management experts to advance information sharing for risk reduction and disaster preparedness in the region," said Jan Dams, of the World Bank, GFDRR.
