Rwanda and Japan commend bilateral relations

On 10 March, 2015 The Prime Minister Anastase Murekezi received the Mr. Kazuya Ogawa, Ambassador of Japan to Rwanda in a courtesy call paid in his office in Kimihurura.

Their discussions centered on the cooperation and relation between the two countries that are said to be good.

They also discussed on the upcoming 3rd UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (WCDRR) which is due to take place in Sendai, Japan from 14 to 18 March 2015 in which Prime Minister will attend on behalf of President Paul Kagame.

This conference that will discuss international strategy on disaster risk reduction will be the 3rd conference to be conducted in Japan as the first two were conducted in Yokohama, 1994 and Hygo, 2005 respectively.

Japan provides support to Rwanda in various sectors as human resource development, infrastructure for economic development, agriculture sector and education

Kazuya Ogawa, the Japanese Ambassador assumes his office in Rwanda since March 2013.
