Philippines: Legarda presses call for quake-safe buildings

Legarda, the Asia-Pacific Regional Champion for Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation, made a call following the strong earthquake in New Zealand and a recent milder tremor in the Philippines: 'The national government must evaluate the structural soundness of various establishments in the country because natural disasters could hit the country anytime.'
