PEDRR launches new network: 'NbS-4-Resilience Network' - Experts for Eco-DRR!
Are you an expert or scientist in a field related to Nature-based Solutions (NbS)? Are you experienced in researching or working with NbS and ecosystems for disaster risk reduction (Eco-DRR) for resilience building? Come and join the new NbS-4-Resilience Network - Experts for Eco-DRR!
To mark the 2017 International Day for Disaster Reduction, the Partnership for Ecosystem-based Disaster Risk Reduction (PEDRR) is launching a new expert network: NbS-4-Resilience Network. PEDRR seeks to expand our community of practice to NbS experts to ensure our advocacy work is grounded in the latest science and technology. We will work together to help raise awareness and understanding of Eco-DRR across governments, businesses and the community.
By joining the NbS-4-Resilience Network, you will connect with other experts working in this field and be exposed to organisations and people undertaking Eco-DRR programme and policy development.
As a member of the NbS-4-Resilience Network you can:
- stay up to date on upcoming Eco-DRR workshops and conferences;
- promote your own Eco-DRR events and activities;
- stay informed of new Eco-DRR research and share your own research and reports;
- seek partners for Eco-DRR research, activities and submissions; and
- support the development of technical Eco-DRR guidance.
