Pakistan - Disaster control: Legislation on school safety demanded

School Safety Programme Coordinator Zulfiqar Ali recommends short-term and long-term solutions to be taken to ensure greater safety of schools located in the hazard-prone mountainous region, reports the Express tribune. A school safety strategy proposes updating and enriching the school curriculum, as "regular trainings for school community will have far-reaching implications in safety of schools in Gilgit-Baltistan," said Disaster Risk Reduction Manager Salman Shah.
