Pakistan: Building capacity for flood mitigation

The Associated Press of Pakistan reports on an event held this week by NOMA and NIDM, with the aim of building the capacity of government and civil society organizations for flood preparedness.

Experts in flood management gave lectures on the following items; the flood disaster risk situation in Pakistan; institutional arrangements to cope with flooding; flood risk assessment and flood mitigation measures.
