How much a country is prepared to pay for risk reduction, "is an important [question] which I think will be... looked at now in a different perspective than before the Japanese earthquake," said Margareta Wahlström, the UN Special Representative for Disaster Risk Reduction, ahead of the Global Platform on Disaster Risk Reduction taking place in Geneva, Switzerland next week.
