Launch of the first annual international and comparative disaster law essay contest
Undergraduate and graduate students from anywhere in the world are invited to participate in the first edition of this new annual contest. Entries must be in English and treat either international or comparative law issues related to laws linked to natural hazards. they are due on 30 January 2015. Top prizes include fully sponsored participation in the prestigious, week-long "International Disaster Law Course" in lovely Sanremo, Italy.
This contest is co-sponsored by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), the American Society of International Law Disaster Law Interest Group (ASIL DLIG), the International Disaster Law Project (IDL) of the Universities of Bologna, Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, Roma Tre and Uninettuno, with support from the International Institute of Humanitarian Law.
