“The support and assistance provided by the German government has become the core of the InaTEWS system, which has proven to be effective in delivering early tsunami warnings in the country,” said Indonesian Transportation Minister EE Mangindaan, according to The Jakarta Post. China, Japan and the United States gave financial aid to the Indonesian early warnings system as well, which is also able to sense earthquakes, and send the information to a data processing system via satellite communication, to analyze the information and raise alarms if needed.
