A workshop to be held next month in Orissa will provide a learning exchange for various womens' groups to strengthen their DRR initiatives in preparation the flood and cyclone season.

This event is intended to provide an opportunity for grassroots people to voice their concerns and achievements in DRR. Sharing various disaster risk reduction initiatives by womens' groups from different states and regions will be a valuable learning opportunity for the participants. Involving new groups and states in grassroots networks is hoped to build the confidence and strengthening existing networks, and scale up further to streamline the activities to form a national network of grassroots women. Enhancing and sharing DRR practice at national and international level.
