GFDRR launches new 'safer homes, stronger communities' website

Source(s): Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery, the (GFDRR)

The website is a companion to the Handbook for Reconstructing after Natural Disasters. The handbook has been developed on behalf of the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) to assist World Bank staff, as well as the Bank's government counterparts, engaged in large-scale post-disaster housing reconstruction programs. Others working in the housing and community reconstruction field will benefit from the information in the handbook, especially those collaborating with government and the World Bank in post-disaster reconstruction.

Safer Homes, Stronger Communities provides access to the handbook and other resources. By becoming a member, you can contribute to discussion groups, comment on chapters, suggest additional resources, and inform members about related events.
