The Research Committee-39 (Sociology of Disasters) will offer a lot of sessions during the XX ISA World Forum of Sociology. There is a wide array of presentation opportunities on a variety of timely topics such as:
- Women practitioners in emergencies
- Business community resilience and livelihoods
- Coping with extreme weather and compound disasters
- Emergency services and response to disasters
- Decolonizing disasters in the global south
- Displacement and migration
- Crime
- Cultural heritage
- Health/COVID-19
- LBGTQ+, and more!
Paper abstracts can be submitted to the ISA website until 30 September 2022 here.
