Bangladesh: Collective efforts to reduce disaster risk stressed

Speakers addressing a workshop of a project on 'A Disaster Resilient Future: Mobilizing Communities and Institution for Effective Risk Reduction Initiatives' stressed the need for collective efforts of all concerned for successful disaster management to reduce the prevailing risks of the natural disaster effectively.

"Importance should be given on creating much awareness among the vulnerable communities of the disaster prone areas to save their lives and enable them to increase their resilience during the natural calamities and emergencies," they said.
