The Secretary-General’s report on the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015–2030 provides an overview of progress made toward reducing disaster risk and strengthening resilience worldwide.

The present report has been prepared pursuant to the request of the General Assembly in its resolution 78/152 on disaster risk reduction.

The Network is envisioned to play a key role in catalyzing the technical assistance necessary for the effective use of the fund. This link is expected to enhance the capacity of vulnerable countries to address losses and damages due to climate change.

This report contains a summary of seven progress reports relevant to the Santiago network for averting, minimizing and addressing loss and damage associated with the adverse effects of climate change.

The report is submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolution 77/29, in which the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to continue to improve the international response to natural disasters.

This synthesis report on the technical dialogue of the first global stocktake provides a comprehensive overview of discussions, identifying key areas for further action, and addressing challenges and barriers in the implementation of the Paris Agreement.

The present report has been prepared as requested by the General Assembly in its resolution 77/164 on disaster risk reduction.

In this general comment, the Committee emphasizes the urgent need to address the adverse effects of environmental degradation, with a special focus on climate change, on the enjoyment of children’s rights, and clarifies the obligations of States.
