Tsunami hazard in the NEAM region – a challenge for science and civil protection

The Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC), in cooperation with the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission (JRC) in Ispra, Italy, are organizing this workshop to bring together the NEAM science and civil protection management communities with experts from tsunami warning centres from the Pacific, Indian Ocean and Caribbean regions. Since the NEAM region is the last to conduct a tsunami communication test this workshop will allow for the sharing of experience between other regional tsunami warning systems.
