Three years after a severe drought in southwestern Angola, people in the area continue to suffer. Hunger remains pervasive and they are still losing livestock. A report set out factors that made the impact of the drought worse.
This PDNA examines the impact of the prolonged drought from 2012 to 2016 in Angola on the three southern provinces Cunene, Namibe and Huíla. Key lines of intervention for the recovery strategy, including a recovery strategy for each of the three provinces, are provided in the later sections of the PDNA.
