Sustainable Development, Disasters Risk Reduction and Climate: Territorial Strategies and Actions for Development

At the Province of Potenza at Expo 2015 Milan, there will be a press conference and workshop organized by the Province of Potenza (Italy), with the presence of the President, Nicola Valluzzi, and the Executive Director of the Territorial Planning and Development and Civil Protection Advocate of the UNISDR MCR Campaing, Alessandro Attolico, to present the UNISDR award "World Role Model for Inclusive Resilience and Territorial Safety: Community Champion for Disaster Risk Reduction."

An information event on strategies and actions concerning the local coordination of territorial policies will cover three main development issues:

• Sustainability;
• Disaster Risk Reduction;
• Climate Change contrast, in view of the upcoming Climate Summit in Paris.

The Representatives of the Province, Nicola Valluzzi and Alessandro Attolico will also meet technicians and representatives of other countries that are concerned with the implementation of resilient territorial policies.
