Nature-oriented flood damage prevention (nofdp project) - planning, evaluation and communication

This international conference will present the key deliverables of the 'nofdp'(Nature-oriented Flood Damage Prevention) Project, a project under the INTERREG IIIB programme carried out with eight European partners. These deliverables are novel approaches in the field of ecological management of rivers realizing flood damage prevention at the same time. In this context the nofdp Project has placed a particular focus on developing "Best Practice" examples and tools which support planning and evaluation as well as communication towards decision makers, stakeholders and the general public. The conference particularly addresses project managers, consultants and policy makers working in the fields of water management, spatial development and ecological management of rivers.
