The Launching and disseminating of the Natural Disaster Risk Reduction Educational kit event will take place on October 24, 2010 at the Sofitel El-Maádi Hotel, Cairo.

The event will commence with opening remarks by Save the Children, the Regional Office of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in Cairo, the Ministry of Education, and the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) - Egypt. In addition to the opening remarks a few presentations will take place on natural disasters in the Arab region.

The event will then conclude with working groups coming together and submitting proposals. These proposals will be on the activities and effective methods that can be followed to provide collective education to children in schools as well as encouraging them to participate in preparing for natural disasters within their schools and communities.
