IAC meeting on disaster risk reduction and education

The 2012 annual meeting of the Inter-Agency Committee for the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (DESD) took place on 13-14 December 2012 at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France. At the meeting, the global alliance on DRR knowledge and education met and agreed to align the Post-2014 Education for Sustainable Development Framework with HFA2 priorities.

The World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development will take place in Japan in 2014 for the closing of DESD where DRR education will be provided significant visibility with clear references to and linkages with HFA2.
